I think this is the first time I've seen a Common Wood-Nymph in my native garden. Always cool to see something different in the garden, especially this year. I've had almost no butterflies at all.

It's been the same way down here (NW North Carolina) - butterfly population in general is WAY off this year. We're finally starting to see some, but nowhere near the numbers & varieties as in the past.

Did you know spiderwort grows in Florida, too? Mine isn't as blue.
Some of my spiderwort is blue, some of it is a lilac color. Of course not blooming right now so no pictures

It's been bad. Last year wasn't great either, but this year is much worse. I have a lot of bees, which I'm thankful for. Others have said they've seen very few bees.
