How come the snakes bite didn't kill that squirrel I wonder? Looks like a poisonous snake to me,yikes!

Internet connection has been terrible, so I've been waiting to share some new photos.
On Thursday I found a nice little spot on the river.

The same night, as I was waiting for fireworks I found a short pathway with a little bit of nature.

Then, today, I went back to the first spot and put my canoe in. Went up the river and back about a total of 4 miles.

Here's the video I took while canoeing on the Root River a couple days ago. The first part was more wide open and windy, the then it narrowed down. I didn't take a lot of video but its really cool seeing all the different personal docks and stuff people have along the river. Must be nice being able to canoe right from your own back yard as long as river conditions are safe.

This little 5 footer was taking a bath in my deck pond...................... surprised me! I thought it was a stick in the pond.

Yikes 5ft! That would have surprised me too. We don't have 5ft snakes wandering around here. I don't mind snakes if they don't bite me!
