You may want to consider a manifold exactly like a peastone bog but under your liner. Run your pipe manifold then bury it with gravel making a French drain . Not hippos will pay you a visit

Rocked in the skimmer box, drainage trench dug. Pea gravel, tube, grade it and seed it out tomorrow!

I've a bad case of pond envy... looks great.

More water and foamed the falls. Will need to fine tune the foam before plugging it in. Needs about 4 more inches of water I think?!
