Thanks for all the good info. The skimmer has a filter as well. I've been a marine hobbiest pretty much my whole life. Raising SPS, and LPS, boy do I know test kits. Crossed over to ponds about 6yrs ago .My water parameters are spot on. Did get a spike, in my first thirty days, but expected it. I will order the kit you suggested. I'm just about out of a couple of my individual kits

Welcome and really nice pond but your future may bring finding homes for all the babies .At last count I have given away over 200 babies and so far have not found homes for all the babies from last year

I hope it is a pond owner because I have seen the results in Bedford lake and Smith Mountain lake from people dumping fish and they want to ban any future ponds in the county where I live because of it.Oh and the fine is now 5000 dollars if caught dumping fish

That’s a lot of cute little fish — koi, you said? I don’t know what to call all the color names, but that “calico” looking one at the base of the planter (the close up shot) is a beauty! Seeing a fish like that almost [almost] makes me want a koi to add to my goldies, LOL!
