I just filled up my new 3000 gal pond. This is currently what I have for plants.
2 hardy water lilies (white blooms)
1 water iris (should I cut off the flower stocks after blooming?)
Water Hynacinths

I will be needing more plants. I read that grasses do a good job of sucking up nutrients. Any particular variety?
My pond is in full sun all day. I will probably need another lilie as well to provide as much shade to the pond as I can.

Any suggestions or best place to order plants online? We do not have a good source in this area to purchase plants locally.

Thanks
Kristi

Thanks sissy. So any ornamental grasses you would plant in your garden or yard will work? I love fountain grass but doesn't alway overwinter here.
