Pond algae

Well I am a new pond builder and owner I built a 1000 gallon pond at end of summer last year and since spring is on its way I have a question about some algae with what looks like air bubbles on it good or bad a Lil feed back please

Those bubbles are mostly oxygen, released by the algae or plants during photosynthesis, though some of it may also be CO2 released during respiration and various other gases that the plant might emit in lower quantities.

Depending on temperature and the current amount of dissolved gases already in the water, the gases released by algae or plants may either dissolve or bubble.

Technically, algae are not the same as plants, but they both photosynthesize.

Thanks for the knowledge and the pond is heated stays about 70 threw the winter it is a cichlid pond besides a large mouth bass and and 6 inch catfish
