Looks beautiful at your place and the Hosta's look very nice in the pond along w/ all the other plants! Don't you just love your new patio next to your pond?

It all looks absolutely fabulous! I have to ask ... after all that work, are you having any withdrawals this year, now that everything looks pretty much done, or do you have any plans for other areas, or are you thrilled it's done and you can relax and enjoy it all? :)

LOL, Withdrawal is exactly how I feel Patti. I wouldnt mind digging another Pond this year like you just did--it gets in your blood, but I'm afraid Anne might take the dandy new 9mm pistol I just got and hunt me down--( just kidding for those that dont understand basic jokeing, lol)--but she deffinitly wouldnt be happy. I have thrown myself into the large flower/ tree garden that I built around the patio this year, but 15 trees and a lot of flowers and shrubs later that is basically done too. I do have to tear down my old pavilon and brick patio over at my other lakelot and rebuild all of it before it falls down, so I guess that will keep me from getting the withdrawal shakes--but I really would like to take everything Ive learned thru trial and error and everything Ive learned on this website and apply it to a new pond--someday maybe, lol.

Haha, I wondered if I was the only one! I have plenty of room to expand, but don't have any plans to do so. Two ponds is enough, and after this year, waiting and waiting for clear water (have it now, in both ponds Woohoo!!!), it makes it hard to think of adding any more. Just need to keep up with what I have.
But, I will have landscaping to do around the ponds and so forth, but planning to wait for end of summer clearance prices on plants to add to my stream and edges. :)

Tmann, I would go for it if you like Hostas as much as I do--I certainly think that they would grow easylly in a bog after what Ive seen them do directly in the Pond. Good luck, Tim

Absolutely, Tim, I'd love to see you both again. Have tons of the pond wiegelia or whatever it is called, but I think it makes a pond look kind of messy. But, it's there if you or anyone else wants any. Have tons of it. I just have a few pieces of it in my ponds this year so far, but want to put some in the top of the filter again like I did last year, that worked really well and it bloomed really pretty, too. PM me or call me if you may be heading this way, or just come on by and see, if I'm not home. I have no problem with that either. :)

Beautiful Tim, your whole set up looks like a magazine ad!

,Hostas do fine in a bog, I pulled mine out, ran out of plant room, they are back in ground.

Need to do a huge purge of day lilies once they bloom, some are heading back to dry land. And purge other plants, they have gone crazy this year. Hard to find a place to stick my new plants lol, so some are in pots until I get bog room again .

Sissy, I hope to have 300 or more Hostas some day--long way to go, I think I have 35 or so right now, but if they do good I should be able to divide them into quite a few plants in a couple years. Same with my other favorite, old fashioned flags ( Iris) I keep adding both of them around trees and in my rock gardens--both do great in all this shade. I just got some starts of Creeping Jenny off Ebay, several websites say its very invasive growing right out of your pond or flower beds and will take over the grass in your yard--but considering the condition of my grass in all this shade, who cares, LOL. I also like that grass this grows (see pics ) in big tall clumps with yellow flowers all over it. And the previous owner had the purple stuff shown in pics and the low growing green ground cover (see Pic) which both do great here in my sunny ares and shade, they are both invasive too--in fact if you weed eat the purple stuff it seems to spread faster
