pond netting

Hahaha. I try and remove all the frogs before I cover it. I try to make the netting bigger( ie: into the landscape surrounding it) just incase one gets stuck, and I keep a hole in one end. The frogs at the more established pond have burrowed under the sandstone and have an area they get into when it's colder, there are two exits, so I keep one exit on the outside of the net.

Another great benefit of the netting is that the leaves just blow over the top and don't clog my pumps.

This year has been a great leaf year. The winds have been mild, the leaves are just dropping straight down, minimal have made it into the pond. Esp that huge maple right behind the pond, most fall behind the lower bog wall and stay there.
