pond re-do

Wendy, At this time I don't think I could convince my hubby to do any more digging. I was actually trying to get him to dig to 4 feet but couldn't get him to do it. He just kept sayin 3 feet is good enough.

You could build up by putting a row of cinder blocks around the pond or raising up the level of the dirt or something like that and then running the liner up that. That way the level of the pond would be above the rest of the ground.

Diesel is exactly right, I had to do this to add the bog to the big pond, (because of where it had to be put, ended up on an incline) sp it would be above the pond itself. Good suggestion :)

Slow progress here.....finally rearranged the rocks around the pond to better hide the liner and added more stones around the pond area. We decided to build our own filter rather than use the store bought pressurized one. Took a while to get all the supplies especially since we couldn't find any bulkheads in the stores locally. Worked in/around the pond area cleaning up all the overgrown plants and weeds. It was so humid and just miserable out this weekend. Not fun at all but I do think the pond area is coming along.
