Raccoon baffle

My small pond in downtown Toronto contains about 12 goldfish and a lot of waterlilies. It is besieged every night by large, feisty raccoons who love to eat water lily flowers and tear up the leaves. We’ve made a wood and wire frame and put it on every night, but it’s now too heavy for us to lug around, the raccoons pick the flowers through the wire, and sometimes manage to move the frame. I want a decorative pond cover I can keep on all summer that prevents their onslaughts. Does anyone know where I could get one, or somebody to make one?

I’d go for smaller wire. Maybe rebuild the frame to have hinges so you could lift portions, but be sure to have some form of lock that’s raccoon proof.

or, you can enclose the whole pond with screen--it's what I did!
