I have 2 raised ponds built using 2x12 pressure treated lumber. The back wall on the 11x13 is 4'. The other pond was10'x10' and 51/2' deep, back wall completely above ground. After 10 years the deep ponds walls started to bow out requiring us to remove 2' of depth.

Mine is 3000 gallons and 4' deep at the deep end. Used decorative blocks from Home Depot with rebar and quickcrete. Been going 7 years no problems
