Tomorrow night is the first night we will have the temperature dipping to the 40s....

Who stopped feeding already?

They stop eating when my food runs out.

I've looked all over the sub-surface pond perimeter and simply can't find a calendar hanging up down there.

We were still hitting the high 70's (25ish C)last weekend, but its down in the 65F, 18C at night, so my pond is still on normal food. I think this year I'm going to keep them on normal food while the surface temp is above 45F, 7C during the day, then switch them over to wheat germ food until they either quit eating or first ice. I suspect this winter is going to be brutal for me, both NOAA and Old Farmer's are forecasting a cold snowy weather, and my fish are going to need a little extra this year.
