Stream skippy filter

A little confused here as to whether I can get away with this.
I have a 1200 litre basin running a stream which is 6m long in a straightish line. The total drop is about 0.5m. Total volume about 1500 litres tops. The pump (to create an adequate stream appearance) is running at 8500 litres.

I need a filter of some sort and was considering a skippy filter.

I have two problems:
- Where to buy a suitable sized container in the UK?
- What size will be suitable for the skippy filter based on the more unusual extremely high flow for little volume?

I did consider a large flower pot which is about 50-60 litres or a 100 litre rain water butt but that is ugly (could bury it but still not sure if it's enough?).

Cheers
