Tap pond pad

Anyone know whether the TAP algae pond pads are pet friendly. Thinking of putting one in my filter, but the dogs drink the pond water, so need to know if they are safe? Doesn’t say on packet?

Never heard of the stuff but then if it's some kind of chemical in the pads to kill algae I wouldn't use them.
