Tetra PF2 filter

I am going to be building a Skippy filter...til then, I was thinking about getting a Tetra PF2 filter...a friend doesn't need it and it is brand new, going to buy it from him. Does anyone know if this is a good choice? My pond is 850 gallons...thanks!

My old neighbor has the PF-2. Make sure you have a pre-filter on it. The spray bar would clog when he didn't have the prefilter on it. He also ended up putting in a different type of bio-ring. Works fine for him. He doesn't not have a large fish load - keep that in mind. He has 4 medium size Koi. His pond is about 1200 gallons. Keeps his water clean.

Thanks for the info...I only have 2 small koi and 3 small goldfish. I already have a prefilter, so I think I'll go ahead and get it. Thanks again...
