    I love cast iron!
I seasoned ours with flaxseed oil.

I don't like cast iron frying pans. I prefer those super-lightweight aluminum jobbies.

They hurt less when I piss off my wife and she whacks me with it.

Planning, it's all in the planning.

I ruined my mothers old cast iron pans using them camping, then using beach sand to clean them.:( Never the same, and never again.

I still have my grandmoms ,she got it from her mom and when grandmom past away my mom got the set and when my mom past away I took the set .It is heavy but worth the weight .The threat of being hit with a cast iron pan makes any man be good or he better run for his life .I sure wish they made those covers on that one to fit my handles .

I did make some one time but they can slip off when you lift the pan or cause the pan to turn sideways and that is not good .I would love one that you would not have to worry about putting in the oven .I make a lot cornbread and people like it warm .The pans are great for making monkey bread also and biscuits always taste better made in a cast iron pan

Funny you said that cause I thought back when they said Just*n (to hide his real identity) ha ha ha...was running, and then he looked nothing like his dear old dad, and so I thought "well he must have taken after his mom's side of the family"..... Then to my horrror I discovered who his daddy really was.

hello all, long time no post hope everybody is still here who was here and that you are all doing fine, me and my family are all ok. having a hot summer here in uk but i carnt wait till the season is nearly over so i can get to work on increasing the size of my pond. planning on doubling the size, one of my orfes is so big it can only do about 6 body lengths and it has to turn around, feel sorry for him so i will give some of the garden lawn over to increase the pond, also means i will have less grass to cut... hehe
