I saw your new filter @callingcolleen1 and noticed that it is only sold in UK. Those things are expensive! Bet it will work nice!
The pond guy in town gave it to me for 250 instead of 319 as he always makes deals. Rob buys things in bulk and end of season I like to see what is on sale. It should last a long time and the bonus is I can back flow filter and loosen dirt out of filter and feed the garden. I love that idea!

We got a lot of rain here the past few days... It was dark and rainy this morning--great day for sleeping in. The weather this coming week looks fabulous--mid 70s to low 80s, chances of rain every few days.

Beautiful days sitting on the beach watching the waves and horses. A great 68 this am, only hitting mid 80 today!
JW and I are both beach sitters, just on opposite sides of the country!
The beach is getting a heat attack which is a very good thing. Nice breeze blowing and all is right in my little spot of the world

Cooling down to reasonable temperatures today (hottest, driest summer in 75 years here), but going right back up into the 40C range later this week.

Beats the hell out of snow.

"Snow" and "cold" are four-letter words.

Chilly 64 degrees this morning and all of Sharons biopsies came out no cancer but for some reason they are saying the brown spots on her lungs are silica .Not sure where she would ever come in contact with silica for long periods of time unless the remodel they are doing at the hospital is sending bad stuff into the air inside. We are going to have 3 days of 80 degree days then back up to 90's again

FANTASTIC! Now do they ignore the silica spots?

They say that it could cause severe breathing problems and sometimes goes away on it's own if not exposed to it .But how does she not get exposed to it ?.She has to go back to lung specialist every 3 months now to see if it gets worse or better .I have never heard of it before and she hasn't either .

At least it is not cancer. I have not heard of it either. In reading exposure could have occurred many years ago or recent.

Well hello ponders! It's been awhile since I've visited and I've been so busy I haven't had a chance to pop in and say hello. I have been up to my face-holes in flood relief for Lousiana, renovations, conferences, and classes and it's not over yet. I have sorely neglected my pond and finally climbed in last week to repot my lilies and am in the process of cleaning out the bog.
I hope everyone is doing lovely and keeping their fins wet. :turtle::lurking::drowning::D
