Well now we are predicted to get 3 inches of snow Friday, first day of spring.

It was in the mid 40's here today, but below freezing first thing this morning. I'm ok with the freezing, because doesn't the saying go that the peeper frogs will "look through ice" 3 times before cold is over with? That means this morning is one. Ice on horse's water trough. Some rain coming in tonight, and then again tomorrow afternoon. I'm hoping not very much, as low areas of my yard still have water standing in them. Frost is out of the ground, and ground is simply saturated still. I'm waiting for my window guy to come put in windows, so hoping for no rain. Best part is warmest temps of this week (mid to upper 60's) predicted for Sat and Sun!!!! Woohoo!
Sissy, what are you going to do with those gem stones? They are gorgeous! Look like something you would put on a necklace.

They are my sons .He is putting them away as an investment for the future

Oh, so they are REAL gems, huh? What are they? Red ones maybe rubies, but not sure about the others. That's exciting, hope it works out as a good investment for him!

Addy glad you were with missy when the owl flew over. I have a couple owls here that I hear almost daily in the summer. I have one up the hill and one down the hill. I've been wanting to take a walk and see if I can find them and just see what kind of owls they are.
Going to change water in my pond today. Only a high of 55F but water is cloudy. Can't wait until water warms up so I can start the pond up!!

I thought I was making headway on melting the pond, put my aerator in, it was keeping a small place open, this am all froze over again. At least the new ice is thin, the old ice is still 2-3 inches thick in the big pond. The smaller ponds have melted until they freeze again at night.

We are getting 4-6 inches of snow tonight.................

Addy glad you were with missy when the owl flew over.

I was walking my yorkies (all gone to heaven now) up in colorado one winter. My one little girl was running ahead I was calling her back, she responded well to me throwing my arm up and calling. So I threw my arm up called her, right then a young eagle was flying over me, heading for her, it veered off screaming then circled over head for an hour waiting for the snack to show up again.
last time they were off leash up there.

They are in the safe .He did resell one of them .All my nice sunshine is gone today as it is Mr Cloud winning out and 42 degrees and supposed to be light rain tonight .Getting taxes done tomorrow my sisters tax guy charges 25 dollars and he has been doing hers for years now and she has 200 pages of stuff and charges her 50 dollars .Wish she had told me before about him .I was using Jackson Hewitt at 179 dollars

I need to get my taxes done to and need to see about getting it cheap too! Early morning here and going to sit outside in greenhouse and have coffee and watch sun rise! Should be much better day today cause clouds and rain are gone now.

Got the insurance check from all the wind damage so have to go to the bank before the tax guy tomorrow and then going treat hubby to fish dinner at our favorite place .I figure we deserve it since we hardly ever eat out .Supposed to rain tomorrow so can't do much here .I have to go to hospital to see Mikes momma she went in yesterday and my sister Sharon is her nurse .

I usually have the pond up and running the first few weeks of March, this for sure has been a colder winter.

Even last winter I had it running by the 3rd week of March.

I would try to get it melted if you can sooner. My front yard little pond is still frozen and no melting there for a while cause it is in shade. It was all cleaned out but rain and snow filled it half full over the winter.

Big Canadian geese flying right RIGHT over my pond right now, honking at the same Time.

Trying.............. added my aerator, got the pond breather running, put a black tarp on it.............did nothing............ had it partly melted yesterday, this am all frozen again except a 1 foot hole where the air is running.

And 4-6 of snow coming tonight, last 4-6 turned out to be 12............
