Australia has a law that says it is illegal to come into their country by boat. They take the immigrants that try to get in and put them on an island in tents. The U N says it is inhumane and has to stop. So instead of changing the law they get Obama to take them in and take care o f them. Trump says what the heck are you thinking . take care of them yourselves we have our own people that are in need of help. Now the world is mad at Trump. Hello there why not condemnation Australia . I guess because that would be admitting that maybe Trump was right about being taken advantage of.

I am a member of a homesteading forum, and we never talk politics; it's just an unstated agreement. We might talk about world affairs from time to time, but usually in relationship to homesteading, but never politics. It refreshing!

My pond ice is way to thin to walk on. But it is iced over again in spots.

My pond water temperature is 32.5F.
Pond ice will be thick enough to walk on for a few months yet.
Looking forward to spring.
(It's not hard to derail a politics thread....)

LisaK, I use a Davis weather station with 2 submersible temperature probes, 1 at the 2 foot depth and 1 at the 5 foot depth.

There's no point having 2 sensors anymore as they both read pretty much the same, so I'm going to bury 1 in the ground beside the pond about 3 feet deep to monitor ground temperature for next year.
