Love love love the water wheel! I still want one someday. If I had one that was sitting in my stream, in about 8" of water, would the pressure from the stream push the water wheel? That's how I made it, so I can add a water wheel someday .... along with a bridge. :) Your water wheel is really pretty how you painted it red and black, too. Great job!!! Can't wait to see the window now, and the water running the waterwheel! We will need a full view video when you get it done for sure!

Hi,

Wheel is red and dark grey, sides of pond will be done in welsh grey.

Managed to convert old shoot today by reducing height and lenthening water shoot, in fact it looks better than the old one ,not so bulky.

Tomorrow start on repaint of outside of workshop and paint pipework grey to tone down/conseal....repainted black gutter board and shoot, with rubber paint to redue maintance...looks ok.

All my pipework now converted over to plastic not coiled, this will give maximum gph to both pumps.

All water off workshop roof to barrels except shoot section [4rungs] will flow into and onto water wheel.

That is really coming along, looks good. Can't tell in the one pic but do you have your gutters draining into your waterwheel?

Hi answer is no, split into two seperate runs......except four rungs these do flow into water wheel bay via water shoot.

Any idea of how many batteries i would need to power my pond pumps, thinking of powering wheel, looking around at cogs large and small to save money on electric :lamp5: [dont want to end up with "waterbug" big bang .........fizz :nananananana: private joke ]

I love your paint job! Very nicely done, and all matching and coming together very nicely.
Is that a Japanese Maple and Smoke Tree in the pots? If so, both very showy plants!

Hi all,

Today saw the almost last block laid, but sadly have to report the rubber paint failed to seal after three coats, will give it another two coats and retest.
