Trump called Merkel a "moron" just recently.........

As an aside, here's a funny take on both of the conventions. A little lengthy, but worth the watch......

P.s.... As for Trump being/not being racist, what was that about the Muslim soldier?
What I can't understand is HOW the Donald can keep right on talking, even with both feet in his mouth!?

I don't know? I keep hearing that he made a racist remark but I haven't heard it. What did he call the soldier? The strange thing about the whole situation is that the news is saying almost exactly word for word the same no matter what channel you watch. It's as if they have all gotten a press release or something. Very strange.

I haven't heard the initial comment, but I DID hear the remark about the mother of the fallen soldier not being allowed to speak in "their culture", or something to that extent.

Okay but I keep hearing he said something racist. That is the way the media is playing it up as, you know get all minorities to believe he is racist. If it's about the mother, what I heard wasn't racist. Being a Moslem woman and not speaking is a cultural thing and not a race thing, race and religion are two different things. Who knows if he was right or not but he should NOT have said it. What I do find interesting however is that Hillary was on a Sunday talk show and was asked about the mother of the man killed in Benghazi. Hillary said that the woman was mistaken about what she told her. Really? A mother standing over hers sons coffin not remembering what the Secretary of State told her! Why would she tell that woman the truth and then tell the rest of the world a lie for the next10 days? Well none of the news outlets have covered that story.

Hmmm? If that's the case maybe we should be the ones putting up a wall then, to help prevent the influx of all those disgruntled Americanos. :banghead:

At least we all know now that all Mexicans are rapists and drug dealers. That doesn't seem "too" controversial......

One of the problems with democracy is that the majority of people will vote for whoever promises them the most.
Most people are not educated enough in economics to realize that what they are being promised is not affordable.
It all boils down to education, imo.

I completely agree.

Democracy... while it lasts is more bloody than either aristocracy or monarchy. Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There is never a democracy that did not commit suicide.

We has a human race do not strive to better our community and our fellow man first. Capitalism is designed to force humans to better themselves through promises of controlling more of your own life through money. Socialism fails because people need motivation to help others and help themselves as a whole. Until humans can rally around a common culture and set of values nothing will change.

The melting pot is dead. Everything is a salad and a society cannot survive without common purpose and culture for all its people. That doesn't mean everyone has to give up their own people's culture but it does require all people to recognize one culture that we all believe in first.

My business is IT. We have been exploited by big business for over a decade forever trying to find cheaper ways to operate. Over the last 10 years companies did their best to offshore as much as possible. A small backlash occurred with common people not liking the non english speaking tech support and some customers began demanding onshore based support ie in the lower 48. So companies began to exploit the H1B visa program bringing over foreigners with very little education and english speaking ability and forcing Americans to train them to do their jobs then firing the Americans. These people stay here for 3 years making a 1/3 of what Americans were making and then after that 3 years they return home and a new batch comes in. It devastates the American worker because we cannot compete with people who are only here on a temp basis then return home so they can live off far less sleeping 3-4 in an apartment knowing full well they will leave in a few years. In north Texas alone we have 30,000 H1B visa employees. I've been involved with offshoring for over 10 years and I can tell you the education level of these college kids is nowhere near the Americans so it infuriates me when someone like Marco Rubio said the reason the jobs are being taken by foreigners is because the Americans aren't educated enough. That is a bald faced lie. When you replace a worker who has 15 years of experience with a foreign college kid its laughable to pretend that the education and experience is higher for the kid than the seasoned veteran.

This is about money pure and simple. And neither party is innocent. Both get paid back by companies like Infosys and HCL for allowing the H1B program to be exploited when it was designed only to bring in workers for jobs that they could not find Americans to do and since Americans are being forced to train these people for their own jobs the reverse is true.

Here is a great story about the exploitation by big business.

http://www.foxbusiness.com/features...rced-to-train-their-foreign-replacements.html

So for me I looked for a candidate that actually talked about cutting back the exploitation of the American worker and the only person who has really talked about it is Trump. He is also hated by the establishment on both sides which only endears him to me.

Do I agree with him on everything? Absolutely not. But I agree with enough to vote for him.

I remember reading that one of the great ancient Greek Orators use to practice giving speeches with pebbles in his mouth; it must be something like that!

I was thinking back after the RNC that if Trump just knocks off the sarcastic low-brow humor and only opens his mouth for lucid thoughts he'd sail into the White House as Hillary self-destructed over scandal and corruption, but so far that doesn't seem to be happening, Hillary is self-destructing but so is Trump.

I get health care for free and always have. But those jobs are getting harder to find. Why? Because employers don't have to offer benefits to get people to apply for a job. Why? Because there are too many people looking for work. Why? Because there aren't enough jobs. Why? Well because all the jobs have gone to China. Why? Because they can sell things cheaper. Why? Labor is cheap, they manipulate their currency, they have few regulations and the list goes on. Whats the solution? Don't ask me but I'm willing to try something different then we have been doing for the last 30 years. How any times have people said "they should all be voted out and start over".

I have employee's and my company pays them well, with great benefits (4 weeks paid vacation and a week sick time from day 1, plus medical, dental and vision insurance, a 50k life insurance policy for free and more). I have a very hard time finding people to hire and get very few resumes when I have an open position. Its because people can get too many benefits for not working now days, why bother working. That's my experience as a hiring manager.

The last time I hired, I had the posting up for 2 months and got 3 applications :(

But it might not be as bad as we think! It looks Canada is running for President of the United States!!!

Warning: Bad Language
People are postulating that if the Libertarians took the states they could take, it could deadlock the Electoral College and the House would pick the President, and as despised as both Hillary and Donald are by the establishment, we could end up with Libertarian Gary Johnson as president.http://www.rawstory.com/2016/07/how...d-ignite-a-constitutional-crisis-in-november/
