algae is cleaning the water . I use peroxide to clean some of the algae off the waterfall rocks on my pond . I turn off the pump and use a cheap toilet bowl brush to get heavy stuff off and then spray on some peroxide . I do it when the sun is out because algae will turn white from peroxide and then turn back on my pump and it gets washed into the filter and does not harm fish at all.
