Hey everyone, my lilies are doing great but it's a real pain trying to prune the dead leaves at the base. Any suggestions for good extended snips for this purpose?

Same issue. I have a little tool I bought from a pet store, but it's only a couple of feet long.....limited reach. It's OK, but if there was something else that worked better.......

I recall reading somewhere where [and it may have been on here] someone did something with a razor blade and PVC pipe -- but don't recall what/how they made it.

Some on here say that they just get in the pond to snip leaves, but not something I want to do on a regular basis.

Last year I ziptied a pair of scissors to one of those plastic grabbers so when I squeeze the trigger the scissor cuts. It worked surprisingly well once I found the right position to tie it on.

I prune from inside the pond and don't even worry about getting the stem at the base. Just pull and whatever comes out is what comes out. I guess if you don't like wading in your pond though you might need a tool!

I just pull them off, wading in the pond. It would take hours to groom then a snip type tool from the bank.
