Got a koi and a few goldfish with what looks like cotton wool on the mouth/tail. I originally thought it was a fungus and treated it for that but not cleared. Someone said to me poss a poisonous ulcer. Anyone any ideas? Photo enclosed

I lost 25 Koi, 24 - 36 inches long this spring, in the span of a week. I was heartbroken . I tried everything Melafix Pimafix daily water changes. No one could figure out what was killing my fish. A white slime was all over the pond. They would not eat, they hardly moved. Just laid on the shelves and slowly one by one died. They did not want to be in the daylight. Tried to hide, even going into the skimmer to get away from the light.
