Eastern Bluebirds that is. This is my favorite songbird. It has been a couple years since they have nested in our yard. This year they are, hopefully it will be successful.

They are beautiful birds. Lucky to have them nesting in your yard! I had a pair one year nest in my yard years ago. I have houses up for them but seems the sparrows take over any available housing before they get here. lol

We started with one pair nesting a few years back, now have around 5 pairs. They are so pretty! They have claimed some of the houses as theirs. One pair is nesting at the end of our garage roof in a nesting box I hung on a column.

Beautiful pictures!

I love Bluebirds!
I can see them flying around but the only time one actually perched on my deck, was to eat my pot of strawberries!
It would be cool if I could see them more often in my backyard, we even hung a Bluebird house, but the sparrow took over

I need to read and see if they like the boxes cleaned out every year. I didn't get them cleaned out this spring, when you look in you see their nest (empty now) with the fine grasses, moss on top of the twig nest of other birds. It seems a lot of my bird boxes have been taken over by the blue birds.
