Hello Pond people. I'm finally putting in my pond. It's a 600-gallon, 2 level with waterfall. Hooray! It's been a long time coming and I'm sure I'll have a lot of questions. Thanks for having me.:)

Welcome!

How about a question for you - how come no fish or plants? (Jumping off from your other thread.) Just curious!

Well, we live on a double lot and over the past couple of years have overhauled the entire yard. So, the idea of having to take care of fish and plants doesn't seem real appealing at the moment. That and vinegar, fish and plants don't mix. But the vinegar thing isn't sounding too promising so who knows!?!

Welcome to our group!
With fish and plants mix nicely and are easy to care for. Dependent on the type of fish and the build

Yep, I've got a 125g indoor tank with three Goldie's in it. They're getting pretty big so who knows, they may become outdoor fish.

See... all we have to do is suggest it and the next thing you know you have a pond with fish!

Welcome. Some water lillies in with the fish add a lovely low maintenance pop of color. Ponds are work, but I find them less work than maintaining a tank of goldfish.

Thanks to everybody. Really appreciate it. As to fish, lilly's and the like... I kinda new I would end up putting them in at some point. I've got grandbabies you know. 3 of them. (although one's brand new.) But the other two already gave me the "look" when i said no fish. You know the one. Disappointment, a little accusing, how dare you!?! (nobody can survive the look.) So, even though I only got a little pond (unlike addy1) I'm sure all will be made right in the end. :)

Nobody can survive the look................. get fan tails, they do great in smaller ponds.

I have around 10-15 fish in 1000 gallons, the water from the big pond flows through it and back into the big pond.
