Oh and keep saving and adding eggs shells, the more you had the less snails you will see, also egg shells break down into good calcium for all types of plants.

thanks for the info fishin4cars, however regarding salt i have heard that the salinityisnt good for the plants, also adding salt at the edges as a barrier is useless against burrowing slugs, and i have seen them wriggle about with salt on them !!
