I have foam and bubbles on a new pond . Ony have 4 fish so it is not fish waste. Pond is new so there is no sludge buildup. Used 4 week application of microbe lift and did nothing. Should I do a water change . If so how much water and how many times to start

Sounds like your about to the cycling stage if I'm reading correctly, it would be a good time for a water change. 10-25% would be a good start. Check your ammonia and nitrite readings. Before changing the water and again after. I expect your going to find one a little high. This would be normal. Foaming is left over dissolved organic matter, a pond cycling will be doing just that, starting to dissolve the organic matter as the bacteria grow and form in the filter. I don't think it has to be a old pond to show it.

FWIW, when I apply bacteria (Im using dry ones, looks like powder) that tends to produce some white foam in my pond for a while, but it goes away within a day.

Thanks for the feed back I did two water changes about 30%. I am still getting foam. I have a Savio skim filter and then I have a 75 Gallon Filer by the water falls. Water looks pretty clears and all the test come out fine. The pH is high . My pond has no debri at all in it and the bottome is clean as well.

Not sure waht to do at this time.

Thanks

Is it possible you are putting in too much of the microb-lift? My sister in law did this on my brothers pond when he was out of town, whe put too much in and foam and bubbles was the result went away after several weeks.
