for people who think margerine is the healthy choice.....
Margarine was originally manufactured to fatten turkeys. When it killed the turkeys, the people who had put all the money into the research wanted a payback so they put their heads together to figure out what to do with this product to get their money back.

It was a white substance with no food appeal so they added the yellow coloring and sold it to people to use in place of butter. How do you li...ke it? They have come out with some clever new flavorings....

DO YOU KNOW.. The difference between margarine and butter?
Read on to the end...gets very interesting!

Both have the same amount of calories.
Butter is slightly higher in saturated fats at 8 grams; compared to5 grams for margarine.
Eating margarine can increase heart disease in women by 53% over eating the same amount of butter, according to a recent Harvard Medical study
Eating butter increases the absorption of many other nutrients in other foods.
Butter has many nutritional benefits where margarine has a few and only because they are added!
Butter tastes much better than margarine and it can enhance the flavors of other foods.

And now, for Margarine..
Very High in Trans fatty acids.
Triples risk of coronary heart disease ...
Increases total cholesterol and LDL (this is the bad cholesterol) and lowers HDL cholesterol, (the good cholesterol)

Increases the risk of cancers up to five times..

Lowers quality of breast milk
Decreases immune response
Decreases insulin response.

And here's the most disturbing fact... HERE IS THE PART THAT IS VERY INTERESTING!

Margarine is but ONE MOLECULE away from being PLASTIC... and shares 27 ingredients with PAINT

These facts alone were enough to have me avoiding margarine for life and anything else that is hydrogenated (this means hydrogen is added, changing the molecular structure of the substance).

Open a tub of margarine and leave it open in your garage or shaded area. Within a couple of days you will notice a couple of things:

* no flies, not even those pesky fruit flies will go near it (that should tell you something)

* it does not rot or smell differently because it has no value ; nothing will grow on it. Even those teeny weeny micro-organisms will not a find a home to grow. Why? Because it is nearly plastic. Would you melt your Tupperware and spread that on your toast?

Share This With Your Friends.....(If you want to butter them up')!

Chinese Proverb:

When someone shares something of value with you and you benefit from it, you have a moral obligation to share it with others

Lots of butter here too, never drink pop, never have, never drink juice, same sugar as pop, eat the sprouted grain bread too. I buy organic beef from farmer, grass fed cows, eat lots of beef, experts lie, Canada's oldest living person was Cora Hanson, just died last month, lived to 113 and lived right here in Medicine Hat, she lived on farm till she was darn near 100, they were cattlemen ranchers and I doubt there was every a shortage of beef in that house! (Goggle it)
I eat a high saturated fat diet and lots of Coconut oil (bible tells you that saturated fat is the best) remember the Cain and Able story? Cain offered the Lord the "fruit of the soil of the land" and Able offered the Lord "the FAT from the new born flock" which did the Lord reject cause is was NOT the best?

Don't eat corn, read about the Monsanto experiments years ago.
Grow my on tomatoes from seed we have been using since 1991.
Grown our very own potatoes that we started from seed. That right seed, first year we got potato the size of peas..... now there larger.
Beware of low fat diets, they make you sicker, no such thing as bad cholesteral!

Wow don't usually find someone who eats like I do Collen!
I eat lots of butter and now no pop and haven't drank juice for yrs.
I don't eat much bread tho.
I eat lots of beef and going to buy some from my friend up the road who raises beef cows.
Fat is better than carbs and if you eat less carbs the fat will burn right off of ya.
No corn here either. I usually grow our own toms, lettuce, cukes, radishes, etc. but this year took a break.
Did the low fat diets once and could not handle eating stuff that tastes like cardboard!
Trying to eat more of the good fruits and veggies and have a salad before every dinner, well most anyways. Trying to stay away from lots of sweets but now and then must have a bit. My cholesterol is good just need to get out and walk more but rains keeps bringing me down!

One thing I could never even learn to like was coffee..............just can't stand it, unless it's a mocha or some other chocolaty concoction w/ whip cream on top! But really never even drink those as they make me jittery and talk, talk, talk and I'm really the quiet type B)
