I am reposting this from my other thread hoping for some insight. So……I brought my Thalia (Hardy Canna), into my basement as I had done in the past. I decided to repot the plant before putting into the pond. It was doing OK in the basement. After repotting and placing in the pond a month ago, I am not seeing any growth and think it may have died. How can I determine if the bulb is OK? If it has died, any thoughts on the best place to purchase another Thalia? I live in central Pa, and there are very few places to purchase pond plants. On line, prices are all over the board.

Plants often take time to recover from transplanting. I wouldn't give up hope yet. Does it look green and healthy? If it's not wilting, turning yellow or brown or losing leaves it's likely fine.

Hardy cannas do not grow from bulbs by the way.
