Regardless of who is the sitting president all military service members sworn duty must never waiver. The President is "the" Commander-In-Chief. The phrase "commander-in-chief" is key. Whatever the task, be it major or mudane such as holding an umbrella over the head of President Obama the Marine was carring out his duty. There is no grey area.

During my twenty year military career it never, ever mattered what I thought about the person. What mattered was that I carried out my duty to the Commander-In-Chief, the President of the United States of America.
