Well heck I can do 60.00 no prob! I swear the last time I checked they were around 200.
I'm ordering that guy for sure!!! Thanks Meyer.
That puts me back to keeping them the fish in that pool while I reline and let the water cycle in the new one. I put the plants and furniture (pots and stands) back in the new water to help it and wait at least 4 weeks? Is that right?

I'm going with 2000-2500. I found some smaller pools for like $15 that hold almost 500 each, I could but like 3 or 4 of those and retain much more water.

Got it, 2" pipe! What do you use for tubing from pump to bog?
Mine is an external pump all my line is 2 or 3 inch pvc. Into the bog I have 2 inch coming from the pump feeding the bog.

Yes, you could go that route, but I was thinking about housing the fish while the pond was being re-worked. Using several smaller tanks would mean splitting them up and trying to place plants in each tank not to mention lack of filtration which you will definitely need if the relining process takes more than a few hours. The 1000 pool should holdall of your fish and plants and enable setting up some level of filtration (insurance).
Are you increasing the pond capacity any? The 1000 pond would give you about 50% of the present capacity which, though not perfect, is suitable for preserving most of the biological identity of the present pond.

Ohhh and any gradual stream/waterfall pictures would be helpful as I plan the new bog/waterfall.
Again thank you!
Post the best things you find if you will. I'm looking in a few months at building a few small pools cascading into each other and would love to see ways of doing this.

I guess I'm kinda dumb today but if I save more than 1/2 the water, I would envision the fish and water being pumped out, the old liner removed, the new liner installed and then the fish and water pumped back in. I see your point with the larger pool and that makes sense. My question is if I retain at least 1000 gallons can I put the fish and the water and the plants right back into the newly lined pond?

I believe you can do just that if you can save that much water. Just let the rest of the water slowly run in so not to shock the fish.

Yep I have a Laguna Max-Flo 4280 Waterfall & Filter pump and also a Pondmaster 2400, both submersible's. The Laguna is new and the other is my old one that has been working for 13yrs straight w/no issues other than I wanted a more powerful new one. Laguna's are better for power saving.
