Well I'm about done with my research for my new pond. I've come up with a diverse group of brands starting with a Euro P series pump. A Tetra bottom drain and bio pressure 4000 filter with UV. A Laguna spillway for the falls and skimmer. Any opinions on these choices would be appreciated since this is my first pond. Next step gather up these items and get digging!!

remember with a pump you have to look at energy efficient pumps as the electric rates are not going down and always get a pump bigger as you can use it to pump water to other places in your pond .Never liked pressure filters as they need flushed to many times and never really do a good job and are not cheap .I use a home made filter ,well actually 2 of them since I have koi .

I hear the Laguna pumps, max flo get good energy ratings. I have a Pondmaster Supreme 24 and it works great and has been for over 10 yrs so not replacing till it goes out. I don't have a bottom drain, just use a net to get the gunk out and partial water changes and lots of rain. No filter either but I just have goldfish, not big boy koi's! Get digging now Dave :goodnight:

Oops! Thought I put this in the construction and equipment section! Thanks for your replies! Going to start with a foundation for the falls hopefully this weekend.
