Here are a few before and after pics of our koi pond project. We started May 10 around 8:00 am and finished on May 12 around 7:40 pm. This was a family affair. My wife, Son, Daughter and I.
The main pond is 17'x12'x4' and the header pond is 6'x5'x12" fed by a 100 gallon skippy filter. The pump runs on low speed with pletty of water flow. There are few finishing touches such as installing the Aqua Skim 40 skimmer, adding plants in the main and header pond and of course the fish. The fish are a few weeks out.

Thanks for all those on this forum as well as others for information sharing. That information sure can make a project like this go much smoother.

We thought it came out pretty darn nice for amateures.

Great job! You and your family must be extremely organized or something. We started our pond February 21 2011 9:46 am, and here it is May 14 2012 7:07 am and we still aren't quite finished.
Got any work in progress pictures???

Sorry for the delayed reply. Thanks for all the positive comments.
I had trouble loading pictures. SORE........oh yeah! I have been planning, researching etc this pond for almost a year. My family are very hard workers and I could not have done this without them helping me out. But let me tell you, It has been worth it already.
I would also like to thank all you folks for your input and responses to questions etc.

Thanks! We are really beginning to enjoy the pond. I have since installed a UV light, made some adjustments to the waterfall, added a weir built by koiguy1969 and added a few lilly pads. More plant life to come.

Amazing build! If this was my family it would be more like "We started May 10, 2008 around 8:00 am and finished on May 12, 2012 around 7:40 pm."
