They are great tank plants for sure. I can imagine they can really take over a pond though. Well if the fish let them that is.

Hornwort---Ceratophyllum we had it our older pond and in the summer warmer weather (uk) we were taking it out by the bin bag full some pet shops sell it here in the uk 5 good healthy strips around £3.00

it sinks to the bottom of the pond and raises in warmer weather DONT KEEP sturgeon if you have this in your pond it drowned ours
