Aw, sorry to hear about your travel seat mate! Yuck, that would suck big time. I once had a guy that would have easily taken up 2 full seats and then some, sit in aisle seat next to me, in middle seat. He had a cat in his carry on, and he was a big man (tall) besides! Was no way he was going to be able to stay in that seat, glad it was not a full flight after all. The stewardesses rearranged a few people, and got him 2 seats together. I was leaning toward my friend, only taking half of my seat, and the guy was still up against me, and he was way in the aisle, no way they could have run their cart past him! He was HUGE! Not sure what would have happened had the plane been full flight! That would have been disaster! It was a 4 hour flight!!! They should have moved that guy from next to you, too! Next time, ask to be moved! I could not stand someone leaning up against me either.
Your pup is adorable. She looks so shiney, like she glows! Very clean, I'm sure, and what a little princess.

We are still deciding who is boss, she thinks she is, I am attempting to be................ I made her a scrambled egg one morning, which is good for a pup, well the next morning she sat by the stove and barked looking up, waiting for her egg. Very smart little girl, when she wants to be.

lol colleen, no.............. took her on a 3.78 mile walk at 530am. She bulks a little leaving our street, but knows where every dog should be and looks for them to have a bark fest. A lady came out a few days ago, gave her some rubs, today she stopped at her drive way waiting for the lady to come back out.

She saw her first toad.........

The star gazer lilies are in full bloom right now, the butterflies love them. I am tickled they are blooming, they got smacked by a real hard freeze. Our crape myrtles are not doing well at all, all the new growth was frozen, not sure they will bloom this year. I must have some that are barely able to survive our zone.

Beautiful as always. My butterfly bushes( aka trees) are attracting all kinds of butterflys that I haven't seen in years. never have my camera when I see them. had a guy that bought several 1yr olds text me today and said " I love my fish!! They are a peaceful moment in my day. I just love spreading the wealth of koi. A lady that bought some 2 yr olds yesterday emailed me and said they were doing fine staying together. she has about 15 other fish. I was worried about them jumping out she doesn't use a net. I advised her of heron that fly over in our area.

So, how do you catch your fish to sell them, GG? I have several fish I would like to sell, and a lady that is interested, but I have no idea how to catch them, now that the lilies are growing and there is so much in the way. I have a seine net, but thinking that would still make it impossible. Plus, it takes about 4 people using the seine net and 2 catch nets to get anything accomplished. I have three 7-9" koi in my goldfish pond, thought they would be easier to catch in there to sell this year, and now would like to move them back to the koi pond, and so far no go. Even left catch net in the pond, right under where I feed, but as soon as I even touch the handle, they move. Of course, any fish I DON'T want to catch I will catch. LOL

It is not easy. It is not fun. I always feel like I stress everyone out in the pond till I catch what I need to. First must have a good net with a little depth. My main pond is 8x10 roughly. I have one lily in it and other plants on shelves that fish cannot get into. I chase them around real good they out run me anyway. I am always prepared for them to jump over my net at the last minute. I usually have to get my 15 yr old daughter to help. She kinda herds them into my area and then you have to be quick when they jump over the net to catch them. It took me 30 minutes to catch the 3 2yr olds in my big pond. I was sweating and wet and mosquitos were having a meal on my arms and legs. The lady was very happy with the fish, I was too after I went back into the house to recuperate!! The guy came on a nicer day. More daylight and less bugs! I have a 220 gallon pond that I call my baby pond or quarantine pond. Has only been used for babies so far. Anyway had to catch 6 out of it. Lots of lettuce and lilies. lots of jumping on a smaller scale. These were 1 yr old and about 5". Had to take out lettuce and lily to find them. Still have 4 in there now. Will have them till next year and see how they change color. Will sell them in the spring. My main mama koi is about 18" long and has about 3 spawns during the spring and summer. She just loves to lay eggs. Her main man is about 15" and real skinny. He doesn't hurt her when spawning. So far!!!

It was her first toad, she was doing everything she could to make it move. It was so funny, too dark to video.

CE I am not sure if you get into your pond, when I wade in to groom the lilies the fish swarm me, I can actually reach down and pick them up with my hands. Try wading in, put your net down low, make sure it is a large enough weave that it goes through the water fast. Snatch them up when they come to check you out. Once you do that move in one area they will run, just move to a different area of the pond and do again.
Or have someone outside the pond with the net, just give the signal to move. Also make it a black net, spray the aluminum color with spray paint, makes it harder for them to "see" it.

I put together a box made from pvc pipe 3'x3'x5' and covered all sides but one with black net. I put it in the pond where I feed the fish with the open side where they can swim in to get the food. Leave it in about a week till they get used to it and then put in some food and tip the box up fast! Instant holding cage! I have been able to catch most of my sale fish this way without having to drain down the pond.

Darn neat idea! I have not tried to get any large amount out, don't sale, don't cull. Have tried a few times to give some fish to a friend, those suckers are fast!

Have you thought of a net flap that you have laying ready with two ropes attached, have a person on each side, pull up fast over the opening when the fish are inside. Not sure it would work, but seems it might.

usually it's just me so just flipping the box over works well. My fishes don't feel comfortable around hubby since he doesn't spend a lot of time down there. No spawn this full moon so will be pulling fish for a sale in the next month. Vacation first!!!
