Pond liner size

Greetings,

My pond is approx 2.1 m x 1.8 m (length/width) and approx .4 m at deepest.
Is a 4m x 3m pond liner kit suitable to repair the pond??
Or do I need a larger pond liner??

Is autumn/winter the best time to repair the pond, in terms of wildlife??
