I would like to winter my koi indoors. I am considering using a pool that can be set up and taken down in my basement. It would be a 15' round 42" deep intex easy set pool. Thoughts?

Welcome

Sounds like it may work but boy if it leaks that is a lot of water in the basement. Depends on fish load, filtration etc. Heck it is bigger and deeper then a few outdoor ponds on here. Deeper then mine :)

I certainly wouldn't risk having that much water in a flexible plastic container in my basement...

If your going to do this get it right the very first time of asking , I have a Canadian freind who overwinters indoors we are talking vats with her outdoor filters , since she came in from the crushing winters of -24c with a windchill of -54c she hasnt lost another koi
Its well worth doing but do it well first time.(y)
