Well I found snakey, the big snakey, going by the ribs it is not one of our black snakes they are a lot smaller. I have not seen her in the last few weeks and have not walked down to where I found the skeleton

Good chance, it is picked clean, I would think the fox would haul it away. The grass is worn down where it is, (I have not mowed recently, letting the clover feed the bees)

so right now I think we are back to one snake, the small one I have not spotted in about a week, the 18 inch is still around.

I wonder if his relaxing in the sun, picking off fish made him an easy target for a hawk? Well, circle of life!
