I came home to find my pump had shut off. My bio box still had water in it. Will my bio filt Dr be okay? I have no idea how long it was off.

The bacteria do need an oxygen rich environment to thrive but I would not expect a total die off. If I were you I would try to capture the first few gallons that come out into a 5 gallon bucket after you turn the pump back on. Generally when a pump is off for a while and then turned back on, a bunch of gunk will come out.

How long had your pump been shut off in your estimation ?
We have airstones in all our filters apart from our Vortex , so if the pump fails at least all the filters are still viable do as Dieselplower says you dont want all the dead gunk going into your pond.
If you think the media has lost all its bacteria buy some Microbe_lift PL filterpad Innoculent that should give it a kick start again , just follow the instructions on the bottle
