Pump

Hi all. When I reconnect power to my Blagdon 3000 pump, the impeller does not spin. I have to remove fountain shaft and stick screwdriver down to start impeller spinning. Do I need a new impeller or am I looking at getting a new pump?

have yu checked to see if anything is wrapped around the shaft of the impeller .It can cause it not to spin or spin and stop and can cause damage to the motor .If it comes out with the shaft attached and it is clean put a little vaselin or cooking oil on it and see if that helps

Did you notice this after removing the pump from the pond for cleaning? If so:
1. Air trapped in the impeller will prevent water flow.
2. The impeller might not be properly seated.
