wooo hoooo two of my buds will be open today! they love this horrible heat, The petals are pealing back as I type! lol Will post some pictures in my garden photo thread.

Have you collected your seeds from them and it looks more yellow than pink now .

Have you collected your seeds from them and it looks more yellow than pink now .


It did not make nice seeds last year, just one plump one the rest skinny deformed, I am going to try to get some this year. It does change, goes from pink to yellow, over 10 inches in width

Here is a pic of my one lotus that is doing quite well. Doubt I will get any flowers this year but it is looking good. The other pot of lotus ended up dieing and I think the difference was that I did not put in any fertilizer stakes. So I will try again this time with the fertilizer.

I was told by the garden center where I got some of my plants it can take more than 2 years to get good seeds .I have to go back and see how his turns out this year

Todd is your lotus a "bowl" type, that is smaller? Mine looks very similar to yours. I looked at mine today, and it has at least 10 leaves on it, and more coming, so it must be doing well now. I did put some Miracle Grow in the water earlier on, and then most of the others died, so I wonder if fertilizer stakes would be better.

CE I am not sure what kind it is, just bought them from Michaels as dried flowers.
