Oh no, I can still text random friends and let them know I'm in my office, maybe make a few phone calls, lol. I'll be getting high speed internet at home again, but that'd still only $40 a month + 2 phones a $45 a month = $130 instead of the $200 I pay now. Plus, like DrDave said, its kind of slow, so I've been paying more every month so I could surf the internet at home slowly, but be able to put it in my pocket and take it with me.

I would never rely on this for home use. In the office, I am not rushed since I have other work to do. That said, I can moderate the Forum the 10 hours I am away from a high speed connection I can use.
I don't text and seldom use more than 5 minutes talk time a month. So the smart phone will always be a priority for me. I am considering the Droid over my Storm 2, but the Blackberry has always had the best email so I am not convinced to make the move yet.

AT&T isn't much better fee wise and they are messing with folks data plans again. My son is on our iphone plans, which are all unlimited (we've been with them a long time), but when he jailbroke his phone and used it to tether to his laptop, we received a cease and desist letter or they would change his data plan. And of course that was going to be a lot more. He stopped tethering but not sure if he found a new way around it. I'll have to ask him. But so far, no more snarky letters from the phone czars.

That's awful, sissy. We had to call Verizon last week (internet and land line with them) and the tech guy said he was in Tijuana. Well, at least that's not that far from me. And some say it might as well be part of the U.S. the way so many live there but work here. That border is never getting closed. I say annex Mexico and call it done.

When you call for tech support you have the right to ask for an American .My son worked for att and they treat there employees like yesterdays trash .
