First accumulative snowfall of the season here. 1" so far, and maybe another to come. Not much but the first snow is always notable. This stuff is heavy and wet, too.
Next week is expected to be a cold one. After decent temps in the 30's Monday and Tuesday, highs in the 20s are expected for at least the next 5 days, with lows in the teens. More snow possible next weekend, we'll see what that turns out to be.
We got 6.1" yesterday. Same forecast here for the week.... bearable temperatures through Wednesday, and then the bottom falls out yet again. I'd better get the de-icers ready.

Just a few weeks ago weren't we at 70+ degrees?? o_O

Sad I just took down my faithful friend the Weather Banner. Maybe someday we can get another kind that will work w/the new forum setup.

I just noticed too that the Weather Underground widgets are not working. It is definitely not 49 degrees here nor is it 9:58AM....but that's what the widget is posting. We'd have a flooded yard from rapid snow melt if it was that warm!

Ian posted that they upgraded the forum to https instead of the old http which was not as safe and this effected the weather banners. So we won't be able to get a correct reading on them anymore until or if a new banner type becomes available. Might as well get rid of them for now.

Has anyone here ever seen the Canadian Pacific Holiday Train? Just got back from watching it go by. Here's the video I took.

We have had more snow and cold weather this week than we had all last winter!
It's only supposed to get colder this week as well.

They showed a wreck on the news, Canada somewhere.
A bus slid into 4 cars, a truck slid into the bus, another bus slid into them, then a police car slid into the back of this mess, then the snow plow slid into them.

All slow mo, not much snow on the ground, must have had ice.

38 and raining at home, 88 and breaking heat records here.
