This day started out the warmest it was going to be ... at about 40 this morning when I got up. Snow rolled in this afternoon late, but not much, maybe 1" is all. Blowing around and so forth. Started as freezing rain, truck windshield was covered in ice, had to run defroster to melt, as my scraper would not budge it. Got home, let the dogs out, and when I turned around with Kea pup in my arms, I turned corner on my brick sidewalk and slipped and fell onto my elbow and butt! Elbow has small bruise (I can feel it, but I don't bruise easily, so it's invisible) and my butt seems fine. But, now my left shoulder is VERY sore! Trying to reach back to put my arm in coat sleeve is painful. Guess tomorrow I need to just stretch it and use it a lot to loosen it up. Nothing is broken, just sore. Ho hum ... slipped and fell on butt in the same place a year or so ago. Need to remember when moisture and freezing temps come, there is likely invisible clear ice. Lesson learned ... again!

Yes it is good to heat about the nice weather you have there in Australia! ' Right now I wish I was there soaking up the sun!!

CE sorry to hear about your fall. That shoulder might take forever to heal and then it might bother you for the rest of your life! I fell really hard on my shoulder like 15 years ago skating really Really fast on ice and shoulder now bugs me off and on to this day!

Sorry you fell CE and hope it gets better soon. Kinda windy here today w/more rain. Last night it really poured. I'd rather it was snowing.

Bummer CE, watch those slick spots. I have a pair of crocs shoes that I wear around outside. I have almost no tread left on the bottom and have biffed it a few times with those darn things. Definitely dont go well on wet surfaces. lol No falls for me yet this winter. "yet"
-14F this am but we are rebounding this weekend. We should be above freezing all weekend!

Today was the worst of the cold for a while. It was about 5 degrees when I left the house this morning--or, more accurately, TRIED to leave the house until I found out the latches on 3 of the 4 car doors were frozen...and the door that would open wouldn't latch closed. WD-40 did the trick for now.

@haver79 I absolutely love crocs and have several pairs of them (including crocs brand boots and flip flops) Lot's of people make fun of them but they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I aim more for comfort than fashion these days lol

We were below zero yesterday morning and the lock on my car door was frozen over. Lot's of fun trying to get in so I could get to work :censored:

This morning it looked like it snowed but the frost was so heavy that it looked like snow .
