16°F. Its snowing a little but we aren't supposed to get much.

Window ice is usually pretty interesting, but this one is practically art.

It's well below average. They are saying it could get down to -25 air temps until Tuesday. We had one day at my house where it got up to 30 F this year. I should drill a hole and see how thick the ice is.

Tomorrow is our last warm day it is supposed to be 50 degrees and then the cold Arctic air will set in and all my spring bulbs are way above the ground .They are all about 4 or 5 inches tall .I am going to try and cover them with mulch again to protect them .I see Sunday is supposed to be 29 degrees and then Monday 32 degrees and Tuesday 39 .I am not sure they will survive the cold .Plus there are a lot of buds on the trees

I bet it got above 60 here today. On my walk I saw several Rhody's in full bloom. Bulbs are coming up and it actually feels like Spring has risen never to leave no more. That would be nice. Sorry for you people feeling the wrath of the frigid tundra temps. Guess you are getting your winter now but don't worry it won't last forever. Easy for me to say sitting here w/ a cool drink and sun shining down on me.

high temp will be 8°F tomorrow and winds could get to 40mph. Its gonna be a cold one. Actually, four of the next six days have a high of 8°...

Our nights are going to be zero to low single digits, days sitting in the 20's, a few days of possible snow coming, including today. 80% change today.
right now it was 14 temp it is going up now it is 18, cloud cover moving in raising the temps.

You folks in the east sure are getting your fair share of the cold temperatures this winter.
Hopefully lower fuel costs are taking the sting out of it a bit.

It was 34 and 12 mph W winds this morning, so I fed horses outside, figuring they could eat fast, before the winds kicked up. Bad idea. Now, less than an hour later, it's still 34, but 18 mph winds, and heading up to 25-30 mph winds, with gusts over 40 mph they are saying. Air temp supposed to go to single digits tonight, about 4 they are saying. Brrrrrr ....This is when I wish I had a good weather station like Addy and Mitch have!!! I don't need ALL of that info, but sure would like to know precip, wind speeds, (I get the direction from my windmill, which I cannot do without!!!), etc. The one I wanted was in Cabela's catalog before Christmas, on sale. My niece interned at the company last summer, and she got one for her Dad. It's called AcuRite. I googled weather stations, and it says Kohl's has it. Not on sale, of course, and I'm such a stickler for not buying unless it's on sale. BUT, I have a 30% off coupon right now, I think, and it says it's normally $179, so it IS on sale .... Hmm .... Maybe Happy Valentine's Day to myself. LOL Addy/Mitch, would this be a decent one for the money?
