Up to seven inches of snow tomorrow, 100% chance. The fast moving river near us is now frozen over.
Pond breathers still working, bet ice is now thicker than 8 inches, too cold to go out and drill it.
Birds are going through tons of seed, I am over feeding them, tossing feed on the ground for the doves. They eat up 40 lbs in about a week. (the bird feeders, not counting the tossed out seed)

I try to make sure birdies have fresh unfrozen water but hard to do with these temps .They need a drink now and then .I actually have heated water poured it in a milk jug and put it in the middle of the water to keep it unfrozen for a little longer .So far 5 times today and I will have to do it again soon before night .Birdies keep fighting over the fresh water too

Cold and colder with snow with ice then maybe rain. I have so much snow on the ground, it will take a bit to get the pond running this spring. This has been a tough winter this year, even needed hot water to open up the air holes, -20 is a bit much

Temps warming up all day yesterday, I am at a warm 26 degrees right now! Had sleet/freezing rain last night. Very weird, because a few times, it sounded like it was pouring rain out there! Everything was covered with ice, but then got couple of inches of snow on top. Best part is that the warmer temps are helping now. Road crews have plowed my road, so am hoping some of this slick stuff melts off today ... tomorrow night going down to negative temps! Today is our first chance to be above freezing for probably week or 10 days. I'm ready for it! Heading to sunny FL on Fri., then on a 7 day family cruise with my siblings and their spouses on Sat. CANNOT WAIT!!! Must get off here and pack. Lots to do evenings this week before the trip.
