Wow Jamie, between storms and floods, now new puppies, you are one busy woman! But I know you are up to it, all will be taken care of. Good luck! And it is like a desert here, over 100 degrees today, no rain for weeks, everything drying up. I refill my pond almost daily due to evaporation. And water flowers daily to keep them alive.

Still at 8, she won’t leave the box to go eat, drink, or potty yet. Silly momma will relax soon. The pups I had to work on due to aspiration of amniotic fluid are doing good. And now they are all dry, I’m seeing shades of blond from frosted blond to almost brown. Most have a small touch of white on them, either on paws, tail, or face. And black guard hairs, or the tips of their hair are black, I’m guessing that came from the husky side! Very cute. The pale silver blond one is special, he aspirated bad, and needed a lot of work to get him breathing again. Sitting here, I hear mom panting and snoring, and the baby squeaks almost sound like birds. So I’m coming up with river/ flood theamed names for them. I’ve settled on Tempest for the first born female, as she led the storm of puppies. River for the silver boy, Rocky for the black boy, ( partially due to the fact his coloring reminds me of Roxy, a dog I had to put down a few years ago) the other name I have is Clearence, which means I need 4 more names. Any suggestions? Names will change as they develop personalities, or find new homes, but I like to name them so I can differentiate them.

The 5 boys. The lone black one is Rocky, the palest one is River. I think I’ll end up with two light blond like dad, two of the girls are sable brown, and aside from Rocky, the rest will be between dark blond and red like mom.

@JamieB So sweet and cute! I want all of them, lol! I'm sure you won't have much trouble finding homes for them. Nowadays you hardly ever hear of anyone having puppies or kittens up for adoption unless they are purebred or in the humane societies dog/cat pounds for sale. Do you think they will be easy to find homes for there?

Had to cut a big pine tree down today in our yard. It was leaning way too much and every time I go near it I feared it would fall on me. When it snows the branches all fall off too. So bye bye tree. We are gonna leave a tall stump so we can put a bird bath on it. Might as well make use of it right? Oh and will use the rest of it for firewood of course!

It’ll all depend. I’ve got an older guy at work I see pretty often who said he’d like one, and a guy I know said he’s be interested if they take more after mom in size. A co worker wanted one, but now she’s saying she’ll have to think it over. I’ll be posting them at the vets office when it’s time, I’m thinking the blonds will go easy, and these could be good hunting dogs for coyote hunts. That’s a thing here, but they tend to prefer faster breeds like retired racing hounds. For now, I can just enjoy, and start hiding my shoes up high!

I’ve finished coming up with names. In order of the pictures, Torrent, who’s almost the twin to Tempest. Dusky and Sable are the two dark girls. River, Clearance, Rush, Creek, then Rocky, are the Boys. Clearance is almost as red as Tempest and torrent. Then River, Creek, and Rush are blond, Sable and Dusk are dark almost brown, and little Rocky is black. She had a full spectrum of shades!
