Walked in the rain for a couple hours. Cooking a pork roast in the slow cooker. Picked close to the last of my tomatoes I am growing in the green house.
Watched the Trump Card movie free online. Very informative and interesting! I recommend watching it.

Looks like they used mahogany on your trim and not teak it's hard to tell but you sure made it shine
I am not sure, the ladder runs look like teak, gray before , the rail had a different look the bit of bare wood that I had taken a pic of, but i am not sure it was down to bare wood.

What a differance !!!! its amzing the before and afters .. i love refinishing wood and watching the character jump right out. i have spent more time on prep and sealing sanding and tricks to make wood shine then applying the top coat well worth the effort.

Thanks, it was a learning curve, not perfect but I am real happy! Hard to do the rail out in the weather, wind, sun, heat, possible rain...............

Sorry you are being forced to go through Scouts that way . Boy scouts were all about hands on and comradery. working together helping out your fellow scout . Not to be sitting behind computers and plexi glass and masks for something that is proven to be no threat to you at your stage of life. Its beyond sad that we cant even let our youth live without the politics of today being thrown at you.
It was definitely more fun when we weren't like this, because now all we do at meetings is worry about staying six feet apart, blah blah blah,

and I get it, but it seems like we might as well just stop for a while rather than continue in such a forced fasion.

No I'm afraid we need to let you guys live. There 's such a minimal risk to the young .03 percent. You are way more likely to die in a car accident ,Our elected officials are so paranoid today it's disgusting. The average age of ALL those who have died from this pandemic is over United States of America To protect 75 year old's is Ludacris. Look around all your basic services are being met by the big box stores . But not by the individual mom and pop stores. They insist that the box stores know how to clean and keep you safe. You got to be kidding let the mom and pops open and you'll see what clean is all about . To insist that you put your lives on hold and even make you suffer as your schooling and socializing will be lacking . I know that may seem a little odd to you but its a large part of what's going on today where if our kids did wrong the only repercussion was looking at the corner for a minute or two. One group is doing anything they can to stretch this out. it is less then fair or right. We are human we get sick we fight it and move on, or we don't.

We have a old one of those also, but hubby is addicted to the water. So prefer the water yacht!
I did a lot of RVing back in Arizona, took the four wheelers to the sand dunes all of the time.

The second stage of the outdoor fireplace is complete, now we have to wait for the insert to come in
I'm super happy that we were able to pour the cement yesterday, cause today, the rain is back!

I love working with wood.
We recently had our upstairs hardwoods refinished. They showed me the stains on the bare stripped wood and wood that had been "water popped". I'd never heard that term before......they brush water over the bare wood to open the grain and it accepts the stain better, resulting in a very rich finish :)

My Friday! I have Monday Tuesdays off, and my Ziggy is happy I’m hope. He woke me by using me as a launchpad to spring off of. I apparently didn’t get up for the alarm I had set for earlier so I could go help a friend. We’ve rescheduled for tomorrow. Last night wore me out. I’ve now got a good sized bruise on my arm from a case of beer attacking me as I stocked the beer cooler, it fell off its shelf. And I’m so tired I don’t even want food. Thinking I’ll be ignoring the phone tonight and sleeping instead.

I didn't know they did that either, but it makes prefect sense to ease dehydration before staining

I slept a lot. Like most of the night. Was Physically and mentally exhausted but am refreshed. Need to top off the mini pond and get fish moved over, rebait mouse traps, and do some cleaning. Darn mice are still on my “ must destroy” list, I’m hearing them in the ceiling now. Lazy cats!

Managed to get hubby to go to town w me, got a few things we needed/ wanted, and then came home. I finished staining the wood on the mini pond, moved all the big fish over, still have to catch a handful of small ones, and the few from the other tank, and switch the bettas around. I’ve definitely got several hundred guppies, even with the younger one culling a few while he was in with them.

My pond pump came in. I’m excited to be able to use it next spring, I’ve just got to get that liner part done. Then set up the bog. My aquarium plants were supposed to be in today too, tracking shows they are in town, I’m just waiting for them to get here. Then I’ll be able to get them set up. I won’t lie, I was very impressed thinking the pump was the plants, that’s a big box, and if it had been plants I’d have been beyond excited to share the good vendor info with all here.
