I found a old label on the back, they are Fiskars, I have other Fiskars tools all are good tools.

A whole 32 bucks, they are the main tool I use. Nicer looking then mine!

Ooh, those look nice. I have something similar, but I don't think they're as nice of quality. Still cut OK, but not as well as they did a decade or two ago (then again, neither do I! lol) Might have to look into upgrading.
The hedge trimmer works pretty well for a lot of the cut back too, but it's too heavy for me to effectively operate without risking damaging it on rocks/boulders which are all around the garden plants. (It's also a little awkward wielding it while climbing uphill through the garden!) I let my husband do that chore, but he's not quite retired yet (this fall, hopefully!) so sometimes I have to just do it myself with manual tools when he doesn't have time to come out & 'play' in the yard when I need something cut.

This is the Gator we use. Currently taking down a bunch of azaleas that we planted around dogwood trees 30 years ago. Dogwoods died out and most of the azaleas are dead as well.

The problem is the plants I mess with are over 100-200 feet from the house. A lot of cords to drag out. Bought a battery operated trimmer, does not last long.

That does look really neat though! I do have electric hedge trimmers, have not used since we moved here.

My gator jaws is arm movement rather than hand use. So they work for me and slice through the grasses fast.

I got pictures of the kittens last night. Pulled them all out, removed the clothes she gave birth on, and replaced it with two blankets that are part of my critter care stuff. I’d posted the pictures, but on the wrong thread, so had to delete, and as posting them kicked the guys off their games, I held off till reduced Xbox use to post again. Apparently I didn’t get any individual pics of zaggy, the little black and white male who’s markings are so much like Ziggys. I’m still working on finding the right names for the tuxedo girl and the big ginger boy. Pretty sure I can guess who his daddy is!

In order: momma enjoying laying on her belly with out kittens in the way. Full litter. Checkers, note how there’s a line dividing the colors down her back. Grey, her tail has grey on it too, but white body. Patches. The ginger boy, biggest of the litter. Tuxedo girl.

And good news on the dog side of things. We only have one pup left that we need a home for. The other three are going to replace the adults that we are working on getting rid of. Our hope is one of the two boys will develop the right attitude to take over leading the pack. Probably Slim, who likes to hold my hand as I walk around, he has a very gentle mouth, and has made his desire to be my dog very clear. I haven’t had a dog of my own in many years, I prefer cats, but he’s managed to convince me I’m his. Then his brother Chunk, who’s very chunky, and if he ever grows into his skin will be a big boy indeed, will be good muscle out here. He looks part shar pai when he’s looking down! Then my daughter in law has fallen in love with Sassy.
But I’ve still got to find a home for Martini, and since she’s an adult, that may be hard. I’m thinking just get her fixed and she can stay, she’s not big on hunting anymore due to various injuries she’s sustained from various fights with coyotes, bobcat, beaver. In fact, I think I need to get all the adult female animals spayed. No more babies!
